They are card skins, sometimes called card stickers or card covers: a thin vinyl layer for the front of your debit or credit card, with the chip window cut out. Holographic or laminated, they go on in about thirty seconds and peel off clean.

- Is a card skin the same as a card sticker?
- Yes, same thing, different names. A card skin is a sticker cut to the exact size of a bank card, with an opening for the chip.
- Does tap to pay still work?
- Yes. The thin vinyl doesn't block the contactless signal, and the chip stays uncovered.
