2 Corinthians 5:7
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
Where it comes from
Paul writes to a church in Corinth while he is worn down by travel, danger and the slow decay of his own body. In this chapter he compares the body to a tent, temporary and fraying, and says plainly that what can be seen is not the whole picture.
What it means
Seven words, and they describe the entire Christian life. Walking means you are moving, not standing still waiting for certainty. Faith means you move anyway, trusting what God has said over what your eyes report. Most of the big decisions in a life get made this way: the move, the marriage, the business started with five orders a week and a prayer.
Carry it
The figure on the card is walking into a valley he cannot see the end of. So are you. Keep going.
